Travel to the PNW
Seattle, Washington
Directions
We are so excited to welcome friends and family to the PNW!!! We recommend flying in and out of Seattle-Tacoma Airport (SeaTac). Our wedding weekend events will feature some of our favorite Seattle landmarks. The wedding and reception will be held at Olympic Sculpture Park in the heart of downtown, with many accommodation options close by. Over our wedding weekend, Seattle will be busy with the annual Sea Fair (when the Blue Angels put on a show over the city). We recommend booking flights and accommodations as early as possible.

Where to Stay
Hotels and Transportation
We recommend booking accommodations as soon as possible, due to the Sea Fair event over the wedding weekend. We have provided a few recommendations below, and note that there are many Airbnb options in the area.
Recommended Hotels
Pan Pacific Hotel: We will be staying at the Pan Pacific over the weekend. The hotel has offered our guests a 15% discount when booking for the wedding. Link to reserve. The discount is available in July 10th.
The Kimpton Palladian: We love Kimpton hotels, because they are very dog friendly. Highly recommend if travelling with your pups.
Marriott Waterfront: If you’re a Marriott Bonvoy loyalist, this hotel is on the water and very convenient to the wedding venue.
Transportation
For our guests travelling from out of town, we would love to ease exploration around Seattle. Please use the below Lyft code for your rides between events:
Lyft Code: EMILYANDJARED

What to Do
Activities in Seattle and beyond
Here's a small sampling of the things you can do in the area. We’re happy to chat through all of the many options in Washington, when planning your trip.
Eat & Drink
Pike’s Place: Founded in 1907, Pike Place Market is one of the oldest and largest continuously operating public markets in the United States and is brought to life by the hundreds of farmers, crafters, and small businesses. Below are our favorite spots to indulge:
Old Stove & Cloudburst: Great breweries, by the market - visit for beers and views.
Pasta Casalinga & The Pink Door: Favorites for fresh pasta in the market.
Zig Zag Cafe: A classic spot in the market for a drink.
Shiro’s Sushi: Located in Belltown, Shiro’s is a fixture for great sushi in Seattle, offering omakase & an à la carte menu.
Westward: Mediterranean fare with seafood slant served in nautical-style digs with patio views over Lake Union.
Il Nido: Italian restaurant in a century-old log cabin featuring seasonal handmade pastas & wine in West Seattle.
Museums & Urban Parks
Space Needle: Built for the 1962 World’s Fair, you will be treated to wonderful views of the Puget Sound. Recently renovated to include a glass floor in sections, it is impossible to not delight as you make your way through Seattle.
Chihuly: Chihuly Garden and Glass is an exhibit in the Seattle Center directly next to the Space Needle, showcasing the studio glass of Dale Chihuly.
GasWorks Park: a 19.1-acre public park on the site of the former Seattle Gas Light Company gasification plant, located on the north shore of Lake Union at the south end of the Wallingford neighborhood.
Kerry Park: This small public park and viewpoint on the south slope of Queen Anne Hill overlooks Downtown Seattle and Mount Rainier. Kerry Park is located along West Highland Drive between 2nd Avenue West and 3rd Avenue West.
Discovery Park: Tucked away in the quiet Magnolia neighborhood, Discovery Park has a beautiful beach walk on the sound, and lighthouse.
Explore & Hike
Washington is a gorgeous state and the best way to see it by getting outside. Here are a few of our favorite hikes. We’ve noted which are Jared’s favorites, in case that helps
West Tiger 1 & 3: Amazing views of Rainier with a forest backdrop. (6-8 miles with 2,500-3k ft elevation)
Margaret’s Way: A very covered hike up with a stunning view of Rainier framed in trees. (6.2 miles with 1,500 ft elevation)
Little Si & Big Si: All the reward with less effort, Little Si has a great view of the I90 corridor (3.7 miles with 1,300 ft elevation)
Oyster Dome: Emily’s favorite hike in WA! Oyster Dome boasts gorgeous views of the San Juan Islands and Canada, while also being dangerously close to Taylor Shellfish Oyster Farm for a treat after hiking.
San Juan Islands: We love the San Juan Islands and highly recommend considering extending your stay in WA to visit. We were engaged on Orcas Island!
